When the capital/budget constraints prevent purchasing a new PlayLand outright, then consideration should be given to either hiring or leasing as an alternative.
Hire involves a relatively short term using one of Playtec’s available rental stock.
Leasing is a longer term option where clients can select a brand new PlayLand under an operating lease. The principal differences of longer term lease and the short term hire is that:
Hire stock is limited. Playtec have four hire playgrounds available and they may not be available at any one time.
Stock hire PlayLands are well maintained but are used and it is obvious they are not new
There is limited ability to adapt stock hire PlayLands to the centre’s particular needs. For example, change the shape, reduce height or width to better suit site characteristics.
Under a longer term operating lease Playtec can provide (subject to usual approvals) a brand new PlayLand. The operating lease would have a minimum term of 24 months and clients can choose a new PlayLand either from our PlayLand library design brochure or have a PlayLand tailored a little more for their site needs. At the end of the operating lease there are three possibilities:
clients can talk to us about purchase;
renew the operating lease; or
ask us to pick it up.
This is a brand new PlayLand so the monthly cost for the operating lease depends on the size, style and PlayLand features. If this is an area you want to explore further, please contact us to discuss.
The following information relates to short term hire options available.
Given our hire option come on and off lease regularly please contact us to find out what is currently available.
All the hire options are designed for children up to five years of age. PlayLand Option 1, 4 and 5 are the elevated options and offer the most activity for children. However their size is not always suitable. Playland Options 2 & 3 are ‘low level’ PlayLand playgrounds, perfect for mall environments where there maybe sight-line sensitivities with adjoining retailers.
A playground with elevated play comprised of two metre high play modules along one side of the Playland. As illustrated in the photographs, it is 4.65 meters wide x 6.64 metres deep with Entry Option B, meaning access is on the narrow 4.65 metre side. An alternative entry is possible on the longer 6.64 metre side – Entry Option A.
This style of Playland has a combination of low level and elevated gross motor play events that engage the children safely in climbing, squeezing and sliding so it appeals to a wide range of pre-schoolers. More adventurous play activities in the elevated play modules are contained using our anti-climb safety netting barrier, this provides benefits normally not possible in a such a compact space. The benefits include:
A wide variety of gross motor play events
More adventurous play events without fear of children falling out
Excellent, unencumbered sightlines for parents and caregivers into the playground
On the balustrades there are several interactive Gadget Panels and on the floor there is an Up & Over Slide and Play Car Floor Gadget. The design incorporates provision for several centre specific rules & banding signs. All play activities are installed over a colourful, anti-slip safety surfacing. The Playland is floating, meaning none of the playground is anchored to the floor so when the playground is removed, there will be no damage to the centres floor.
This is a low level playground option will all play elements under 1.3 metres in height. As illustrated it is 3.9 meters wide x 4.12 metres deep measured edge to edge of the safety surfacing. It is an ideal playground solution for areas where sight line issues prohibit elevating the play above eyelevel and /or where there may be sensitivity with adjoining retail tenancies. The design incorporates two Gadget Panels, shoe shelving, rules & banding signs and gross motor play events such as obstacles, squeezing and rolling often only found in larger more elevated play options. All play activities are installed over an anti-slip safety surfacing.
On the balustrades there are several interactive Gadget Panels and on the floor there is an animal recognition revolve totem; not illustrated in colour visual but it can be seen in the photo. The design incorporates provision for centre specific rules & banding signs. All play activities are installed over a colourful, anti-slip safety surfacing. The Playland is floating, meaning none of the playground is anchored to the floor so when the playground is removed, there is no damage to the centres floor.
This playground has an elevated play section along the back in a ‘U’ shape comprised of a two level, two metre high gross motor play climb section. It occupies a floor space approximately 3.15 metres wide x 4.15 metre deep with the entry on the shorter 3.1 metre wide side.
The balustrades on either side of the PlayLand are secured by corner cabinets which ensure the Playland does not require bolting to the floor. These cabinets provide for up to four centre specific rules & banding signs. On the inside of the corner cabinets there are two interactive Gadget Panels. All play activities are installed over a colourful, anti-slip safety surfacing. The PlayLand is floating, meaning it is not anchored to the floor ensuring no damage to facilities and ease of movement if required.
